Chemonics International Jobs in Kenya - Chief of Party, Deputy Chief of Party, Finance Manager, Grants Manager and M&E Specialist

Chemonics International Inc., a leading U.S.-based international development consulting firm, seeks experienced, senior level specialists for the anticipated USAID-funded Agile and Harmonized Assistance to Devolved Institutions (AHADI) project in Kenya.

This five-year contract’s aim is to
1) provide higher quality services through improved governance at the county level;

2) improve representation of citizen interests and oversight of targeted County government performance; and

3) increase the functionality and effectiveness of the devolved system though improved intra-government and engagement.

Specific areas of expertise include: civil society and legislative strengthening, civic education, administrative, fiscal and political decentralization, and strengthening public financial management systems.

We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

Chief of Party

    Minimum 15 years experience in project management
    Minimum 10 years working in international development with progressively greater responsibility, minimum 5 years working in governance
    Advanced degree in international affairs, economic development, public management, or related field, OR an additional 5 years work experience

Deputy Chief of Party
    Minimum 8 years experience in project management
    Minimum 5 years working in international development, minimum 2 years working in governance
    Bachelor’s degree in international affairs, economic development, public management, or related field

Finance Manager
    Minimum 8 years experience in financial management
    Minimum 5 years working in international development
    Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or a related field

Grants Manager
    Minimum 5 years experience in managing large grants facilities
    Minimum 3 years working in international development
    Bachelor’s degree in business, management, international affairs or a related field

Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Specialist

    Minimum 5 years experience in written communications and M&E
    Bachelor’s degree in international affairs, data management, journalism, public management or a related field
    Minimum 3 years working in international development
    Bachelor’s degree in international affairs, economic development, public management or related field

All candidates must possess English fluency, Kiswahili preferred.

Experience in Kenya or East Africa, preferred.
