Our client is an international oil & gas company with operations in
Africa, Europe, South Asia & South America. As the company prepares
for further exploration and appraisal activities, they are seeking to
appoint the Operations Assistant:
Purpose of the job:
Reporting to the Operations Manager; the Operations Assistant will provide operational support to the Operations team. He will;
Responsibilities:
• Ensure that all requisitions are raised in Maximo for both the office and field based teams.
• Manage field travel, office documentation/record keeping and correspondence.
• Provide administrative support for management of operational contracts, EHS statistics etc
• Support the field teams and ensure that their requirements are provided
• Provide general administrative support and prepare minutes during operational meetings
RequirementsPurpose of the job:

• HND/Diploma in Business Administration/Secretarial Studies or a related field At least 3 years experience in a busy operational environment.
• Proficient experience in MS office packages – PowerPoint, Excel, and Word etc.
• Ability to communicate and interact professionally with all levels of employees including senior management.
• Ability to collate statistical data and present the findings clearly and precisely.
• Excellent organization skills
• Awareness of EHS standards and to committed to implementation of this standards
• Self driven, positive and enthusiastic
• Good demonstration of teamwork
• Innovative with strong focus on delivery
