Bangla pesa Users arraigned in court.

Six residents of Bangladesh slums in Mombasa, among them an American, were arrested for using the Bangla Pesa vouchers. The prosecution will seek to investigate whether the vouchers were in anyway competing with Kenya's legal currency. According to LSK CEO Apollo Mboya, only the Central Bank of Kenya is supposed to issue currency, and anyone that does contrary contravenes the penal code'. They could face a lifetime in jail if found guilty.
