Position: Accounts Assistant/IT

Our client, a fast growing Real Estate Company in Kenya seeks to recruit an Accounts Assistant who will be maintaining the books of accounts for the company. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for updating the company’s website.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
• Ensuring that V.A.T returns, N.S.S.F, N.H.I.F and P.A.Y.E are filed before due date
• Ensuring accounting documents are filed accurately
• Verifying and reconciling petty cash claims to ensure correct usage, accountability and accurate reimbursements
• Assisting in the preparation of bank reconciliations
• Preparing monthly accounts P&L, Balance sheet and cash flow statements from trial balance
• Payroll preparation and management
• Updating the company’s website
Qualifications and Experience
• CPA Section 2 and above
• Proven IT skills
• 1-2 years of experience in Accounting
• Working experience in Sage Pastel, Quick Books, Tally and Ms Excel
• Experience in debt management and credit control
• Ability to solve urgent matters and work under pressure
• High levels of integrity and customer service
• Good interpersonal and team working skills
