Position: Office Administrator/Accountant

Location: Nairobi
Our client, dealing with Health and Safety, Clothing and Equipments seeks to recruit an Office Administrator with basic Accounting skills.
The ideal candidate will perform a wide range of administrative and office support activities for the department, managers and supervisors to facilitate the efficient operation of the organization.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
• Clearing biases on accounts, sales and people management
• Collecting, liaising with production line and ensuring customers are updated on their orders
• Working on petty cash, P&L and all other statutory requirements
• Resolving administrative problems and inquiries
• Preparing and modifying documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos and emails
• Scheduling and coordinating meeting, appointments and travel arrangements for managers or supervisors
• Coordinating the maintenance of office supply inventories
• Maintaining records for staff, telephones, parking and petty cash
• Assuming receptionist duties, greet public and refer them to appropriate staff members, attending phone calls and replying to the emails received by the client
• Retrieving documents from filing system
Professional Skills and Competencies
• A Diploma in business related field
• Minimum 1 year clerical and must have accounting skills
• Honest and able to work with minimum supervision
• Able to work under pressure
• A person able to make decisions without consulting on every aspect
• Able to manage sales representatives
