Uganda launches vision 2040

Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni has launched Vision 2040, an economic, social and political blue print that is expected to usher the east African country into a middle income country in the next 27 years. This comes even after Kenya launched its own blueprint- Vision 2030, now headed by Mugo Kibati.
Uganda has anchored its blueprint on the perceived increased revenues from oil, that was discovered on the shores of Lake Albert in Western Uganda, and whose exploration is expected to start anytime soon.
