Position: Director of Nursing & Clinical Programmes
Location: Nairobi
Our client, a leading hospital in Nairobi with various branches in Kenya seek to recruit a Director of Nursing and Clinical Programmer.
The ideal candidates should have suitable ethics in line of duty geared towards responsibilities benefiting
humankind.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Chief Nursing and Clinical Programmes Officer, the Director, Nursing & Clinical Programmes will oversee the Nursing Services Division and the Surgery; Maternal, Neonatal & Child Health; Ambulatory and Medicine programmes.
S/he will lead the formulation and implementation of policies and the preparation of annual capital, operational and staffing budgets of the Division.
S/he will ensure the effective use of resources for all areas of responsibility and monitor the quality of services provided against performance indicators thereby enhancing the provision of quality care to the patients.
Working closely with the Director, Nursing Practice, the incumbent will assist in identifying areas of improvement in nursing practice, initiate systematic studies and implement effective solutions.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have an MSc in Nursing,
8-10 years of relevant management experience in a Hospital and/or international health organization.
A Doctorate degree (PhD) will be an added advantage.
S/he should be an effective decision maker who promotes a patient centered approach and has the ability to positively interact with and influence healthcare practitioners.
Candidates must be registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya.
