Tullow Kenya BV is seeking to appoint the following positions:
Civil Engineering Coordinator
Job Purpose:
You will coordinate civil works for Tullow Kenya’s exploration activities in Northern Kenya.
You will also manage various activities related to civil works and stake holders (Consultants,Contractors, Field Engineers / Supervisor and Tullow Head office) by providing leadership, guidance and The Civil Engineering Coordinator will coordinate all aspects of Tullow’s civil projects in the field and manage the interface with local stakeholders and local government agencies regarding civil works.
He/she will perform a key role in project planning, budgeting, and identification of resources; manage the team of Field Engineers/ Supervisors who oversee the civil works at the sites; ensure that construction activities are completed within the agreed timeline and budget.
You will also provide Technical support and guidance to the Field Engineers and ensure that they maintain a proper record of actual site activities.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering with a minimum 10 years of experience in construction projects.
Excellent communication skills; good understanding of construction industry and contract law; thorough knowledge of construction safety standards is essential.
Proven team leading skills.
Capacity to motivate, lead and boost morale of the teams; strong focus on environment, health and safety; excellent and proven stakeholder management skills.
