Finance and Administration Manager, Local Governance and Decentralization Project
Project / Proposal Summary:
MSI is looking for a Finance and Administration Manager for an upcoming United States Agency for International Development (USAID) funded decentralization program in Kenya.
The project will assist in implementing a recently adopted decentralization process.
Position Summary:
MSI is seeking an experienced Finance and Administration Manager to work with the Chief of Party to ensure proper financial administration of the Local Governance and Decentralization Project.
This will be a five-year position based in Nairobi.

Responsibilities:
Manage all financial and administrative aspects of the project, including procurement, grants, sub-contracts, accounting, IT, logistics, human resources, transportation and administration;
Supervise a team of grants, procurement and administrative professionals;
Support the Chief of Party in budget planning and monitoring;
Maintain timely and accurate financial information;
Work closely with MSI partner and sub-contracting organizations;
Maintain responsibility for all financial reporting to MSI HQ and USAID, in coordination with the Chief of Party.
Qualifications:
Prior experience as Manager of Finance and Administration or equivalent role for a USAID-funded international development project;
Experience overseeing finance/admin on a multi-office/region project strongly preferred;
Experience overseeing HR, IT and other operations-related functions;
Degree in finance, accounting or a similar professional certification required;
Excellent managerial skills and the ability to hire, train and manage a large, national team;
Written and oral English fluency required.
