Operations Supervisor Kenyan Job Vacancy

Job Summary
Our client, a leading supplier of tableware and light catering solutions to hotels, restaurants and catering institutions is seeking an Operations Supervisor to be responsible for ensuring optimized utilization of resources and maximization of efficiency of a unit to attain results.

Duties and Responsibilities
•    In charge of purchasing office supplies and follow up with suppliers for the same
•    Evaluate the work of labeling and repackaging and recommend needed changes based on analysis.
•    Help and direct the staff in all its functions like labeling, cleaning of tubes, capping bottles and filling bottles, and packaging
•    Follow the company policy and procedures and efficiently supervise the staff accordingly.

•    Assist and solve operational matters.
•    Give daily production per worker and output report to management.
•    Allocate jobs to the general workers
•    Plan and prioritize work to be assigned
•    Handle minor disciplinary issues with the general workers
•    Planning and organizing meetings in the department and communicating the same with the other supervisors and managers.
•    Train new general workers in the department
•    Assist in the appraisal of general workers in his/her department

Competence

•    Strong supervisory skills
•    Ability to solve conflicts among employees
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
•    Ability to delegate work

Job Specification
•    Minimum a Diploma in a business related field.
•    1-2 years’ experience as a Production Supervisor
•    Excellent Computer skills in excel and word
•    Certificate in Purchasing and Supplies will be an added advantage
