Assistant Commissioner - Marine Services
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensuring the implementation of procedures, tactics and work plans for the Section.
Drafting of the budget, training and consolidation of the Aimual Procurement and Disposal Plans.
Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
Ensuring efficient utilization of allocated funds.
Supervising the preparation, monitoring and evaluation of the Performance Contracts of staff under their

Responsible for safe navigation and maintenance of vessels.
Any other relevant duties assigned.
Requirements for appointment
Academic and professional qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marine/Mechanical Engineering or Related field from a recognized University.
A Masters Degree will be an added advantage.
Membership to a relevant professional body.
Professional qualification in Fleet management or a related field.
Must have worked for at least Five (5) years, three (3) of which must be in a middle level management position in a comparable organization.

Supervisory skills.
Basic marine survival skills.
Must have high standards of integrity.
Result oriented.
Team player.
