KRA Legal Career Opportunities 2013

Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) is the principal revenue collection agency for the government of the Republic of Kenya.

The Authority is seeking result oriented and self driven individuals with high integrity to fill the following vacant position:

Principal Legal Officer - Board Affairs, Legal Opinions and Conveyancing Services
 
Duties and Responsibilities

    Preparation of draft Legal Documents such as Contracts, Leases, MOUs.
    Giving Legal opinions on various matters arising from the Department.
    Ensuring and supervising preparation of the Divisional Annual Training and Procurement Plan and Budget.
    Carrying out Legal research.
    Preparing Budgets in consultation with the Assistant Commissioner in the Division.
    Any other relevant duties assigned.

Requirements for Appointment
Academic and professional qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized University.
    Post Graduate Diploma in Law (KSL)
    Must be an advocate of the High Court of Kenya.
    Middle level management training.
    Must be a Certified Public Secretary (CPS) K
    Membership to a relevant professional body
    Must have at least 3 years experience in a similar position in a comparable organization.

Competencies
    Good communication skills.
    Interpersonal skills.
    Supervisory skills.
    Result oriented.
    Must have high standards of integrity
    Team player.
