Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) is a government state corporation whose vision is to be a world class referral hospital in the provision of innovative and specialized healthcare.
The Hospital seeks to recruit dynamic, highly motivated, innovative and experienced individuals to fill the following vacant positions.
Job Purpose
The Manager, ICT will be responsible to the Deputy Director (Administration & Finance) for the overall development, documentation, administration, implementation and maintenance of ICT installations and strategies in the Hospital.
Key responsibilities
Ensure implementation and monitoring of the ICT Strategy to enhance the delivery of services, while clearly demonstrating ability to meet deadlines
Lead and drive a culture of innovation and creativity in seeking ICT solutions to organisational challenges.
Customize ICT systems into an interactive infrastructure which enables faster access to data and information and the sharing of ICT resources by users
Assure functionality of operating systems, network and applications software for effective communication and put in place measures which ensure security, privacy and integrity of ICT systems;
Maintain and/or develop new databases on a need basis;
Ensure Disaster and Recovery Management
Be expected to operate under an environment of Performance Contracting and enforce the realization of departmental and individual performance targets through performance management.
Qualifications and Experience
A Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent from a recognized institution
A Masters degree in Computer Science or any other ICT related discipline from a recognized institution.
Possess Professional certificate in either Microsoft certified Engineering Microsoft Certified Professional, Database Administration or Systems, Development
Ability to conceptualise and convert ideas into solutions;
At least 6 years progressive experience in Senior Management level.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Certification from relevant recognized professional bodies.
This position is on a three (3) year renewable contract subject to satisfactory performance
