Summary

Our client is a leading geophysical service company, delivering a wide range of technologies, services and equipment to the oil and gas industry worldwide.  


The organization is engaged in seismic data acquisition, processing, interpretation, reservoir geophysics, borehole seismic, micro-seismic, GME and multi-client surveys, equipment
manufacturing and software R&D.

Reporting to HSE manager, the Clinical Officer will ensure efficient and effective coordination and delivery of medical services to employees at crew level.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
•    Constant consultation and liaison with Crew Clinical Officers and Paramedics to establish the specific needs, medical drugs and supplies required at the crew.
•    Liaise with and procure medical drugs at local pharmacies and hospitals in correct quantities and dosage and advise on correct conditions of transportation and storage of medical drugs, supplies and equipment
•    Coordinate dissemination and administration of medical drugs and vaccines to the crew
•    Provide relevant information on preventative care to Crew Clinical Officers and Paramedics
•    Ensure compliance with all laws, Ministry of Health and World Health Organization regulations
•    Keep up to date with current trends in the medical profession and advise the company accordingly
•    Maintain electronic and hard copy records of all patient visits, patient data, diagnoses and prescriptions
•    Obtain daily reports from all  Crew Clinical Officers and Paramedics
•    Report to management on a daily basis on patient cases handled at the various crew clinics and health facilities

Requirements

•    Minimum of a Diploma in Clinical Medicine. Higher Diploma will be an added advantage
•    At least 2 years relevant experience in providing medical care and drug administration in a busy environment
•    Excellent technical skills in drugs administration and dissemination
•    Excellent communication and presentation skills both in English and Kiswahili
•    Excellent reporting skills
•    Excellent planning, prioritizing, organizational and reporting skills
•    Able to work in a multi-disciplinary team and influence others in the delivery of good environmental performance
•    Flexible in approach and able to work under pressure
