Technical Supervisor (High Ventilation and Air Conditioning) Division
Location: Nairobi
Roles and Responsibilities
To manage a team of 40 installers
To coordinate Installations, Services and Breakdowns for this team daily within Nairobi & Mombasa (N.B. there will be 2 assistants to help with this) – To ensure this scheduling is done with efficiency of
utmost importance
To ensure all technicians report to site on time with the correct materials and tools
To ensure quality of workmanship and servicing is maintained at all times
To ensure all breakdowns are attended to within 24 hours
To be fully aware of the capabilities and Skill Sets of all technicians – to then be able to assign technicians to jobs based on their skill sets and capabilities
To ensure all technicians have got the required amount of training to perform their duties
To randomly visit at least 10 sites a week to carry out an audit / inspection on the work carried out – i.e. check if installation meets company standards and ensure all materials requested by the technicians have been utilized on site
To ensure all technicians are completing breakdown forms correctly – to then inspect all information presented on breakdown forms daily to ensure the technicians diagnosis is accurate
To ensure all sites are progressing at the required speed and to intervene should this not be the case
To upgrade skills set of all technicians through training and coaching
To provide reports as per the requirement of management
To be able to record and resolve all customer complaints in the shortest feasible time-frame
Minimum Skills Required
At least a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or any other relevant field
Fluent in English and Swahili
At least 5 years’ experience in the HVAC industry
Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Projects)
Candidate with experience in a managerial position would be considered more favorably
