Business Development Manager
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Head, Co-op Consultancy and Insurance Agency, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for formulation and implementing the sales strategy for Bancassurance.
In addition, the role holder will spearhead the growth of bancassurance business across the Bank
channels.
Main Duties:
To drive growth in Bancassurance business across and outside the bank channels.
Accountable for overall profitability of the sales team
Work closely with branch managers and credit teams to generate leads and close business
Monitor and review performance and take corrective actions
Establish and sustain strong relations and network with all business units to identify Bancassurance

Ensure a high level of customer experience across all Co-op Bank delivery channels.
Train the sales team on all the bank assurance products.
Build bancassurance capacity in the Co-op Bank Group
Ensure Bancassurance targets are met
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal procedures in regard to bancassurance business
Establish networks leading to business growth within the industry
Job specification:
The incumbent will be required to possess the following qualifications, attributes and skills:
A bachelor’s degree in any business related field
more than five years sales in insurance or banking
Consistent high level performance in the current role will be a key consideration
Diploma or certificate of insurance will be an added advantage
Good understanding of the insurance business.
Good management and leadership skills
Very strong networking and relationship skills
Interpersonal skill
Negotiation skills
