Turkish Cargo, a member of Turkish Airlines International Inc, is currently seeking to recruit local Cargo Sales & Marketing personnel for our cargo operations based in Nairobi, Kenya.
Below are the competencies that we look for:
The personnel will be responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities and will provide guidance and mechanisms towards achievement of maximum cargo load factor, revenue stream and profitability,
The key tasks will include:-
1.Understand the Air freight market in Kenya, thereby make a weekly analysis of air freight market trends and strategy to be used.
2.Tap new markets; develop an effective marketing plan to increase the airline cargo market share in Nairobi.
3.Manage and sustain air freight market ex-Nairobi, through agent visits and collaborative partnership with Agents. 1.Understand the Air freight market in Kenya, thereby make a weekly analysis of air freight market trends and strategy to be used.
2.Tap new markets; develop an effective marketing plan to increase the airline cargo market share in Nairobi.
4.Advise management in regards to new market opportunities, current competition in the market and underserved air cargo markets segments to achieve business volumes and targets.
5.Analyze customer performance, current market conditions for potential business relationships.
6.Coordinate, review and report on all marketing activity and results working with other colleagues.
7.Identify, develop, and evaluate marketing strategy, based on the market characteristics as well as seasonal factors to be put in consideration.
The desired candidate should possess the below qualities:
Good understanding of Airfreight markets(IATA Certifications would be an advantage or/and previous logistics/airline/sales and marketing background
2-3 years practical experience in air freight market/logistics/sales and marketing preferably in the export sector.
A degree in Business Management, Marketing or Administration is a plus. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, organized and result oriented individual.
Relevant sales and marketing background would be an added advantage.
