Job Title: Marketing Manager

Location: Kisumu, Kenya

Afri-Can Trust is a non-profit making organization whose work aims to alleviate poverty among the marginalized communities in the society in Western Kenya.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Marketing Manager primary responsibility will be to direct
Afri-Can Trust’s overall marketing and corporate communications by providing leadership in design and implementation of the marketing plans and strategies for the organization's business units (Afri-Car Garage and I-Care Pads production unit)  and the Afri-Can Technical Training Centre. 

Position Responsibilities
1. Design and facilitate the implementation of the annual marketing plan for Afri-Can Trust.  Support and facilitate the development and implementation of the marketing plans for Afri-Can Technical Training Centre,
Afri-Car Garage and I-Care pads.
2. Plan and administer Afri-Can Trust’s marketing operations budget.    
3. Organize and implement client relations activities including:
•    client sensitization workshops for I-Care
•    client skills training
•    special events
4. Seek for prospective clients and write concepts for new businesses.
5. Support the design and development of new business initiatives.
6. Develop and maintain marketing database which includes clients and prospective clients information, mailing list, client relations etc.   
7. Assist with and support Afri-Can Trust’s involvement with various business and social networks including coordinating business development and marketing activities through these relationships.   
8. Develop innovative marketing tools including brochures for the diverse programs and business units. Develop, oversee and maintain Afri-Can Trust’s electronic marketing efforts.
9. Promote and advertise Afri-Can’s activities through Social Media such as Facebook, Twitter and our websites.
10. Be active in selling and promoting the I-Care pads to the diverse markets (NGO’s, schools, end users).

Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s degree in business administration (Marketing option) or equivalent required.
•    Minimum 3 years relevant experience in marketing required.
•    Excellent computer skills and proficient in excel, word, outlook, and access .
•    Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
•    A demonstrated commitment to high professional and ethical standards.
