Cost Accountant

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the potholder will be responsible for cost accounting management for the business
Key Results areas:
Preparing cost control and review schedules for all holding companies ;
Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual group consolidated cost reports;
Providing ad hoc/special reports in project costs and cost projections in response to information requests by Board, lenders, management;
Conducting monthly reviews of the operating units costs;
Supporting quarterly and year-end cost audits by liaising with external auditors; and
Providing cost control schedules on actuals vs. budget scenarios via a timely cost monitoring routine.
Skill Sets, Education and experience requirements:
A degree in Accountancy or a business related field, plus a professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, with at least two years post qualification work experience;
At least 2-3 years of relevant working experience and sound knowledge of multicurrency onsolidation and reporting, preferably acquired in medium to large sized organizations;
Sound knowledge of cost control modelling and excellent use of spread sheets;
Excellent computer skills including Excel, major accounting ERP ;
Strong inquisitive, modelling, analytical, problem solving, reporting and communication skills; and
Meticulous and ability to work to tight deadlines.
