Moses Kiptanui claims drug use rampant among Kenyan athletes.

Three time world steeplechase champion- Moses Kiptanui, has claimed that drug use-doping- is rampant among Kenyan athletes. In an interview with the BBC, he claims that “athletes are hungry for success, and would do anything to make millions, whether legally or illegally”. He claims the vice is rampant among both junior and senior athletes. In a quick rejoinder, Athletics Kenya termed the remarks as careless, unfortunate and sensational, and asked him to table any evidence that proved his claims. A German Freelance journalist has been on the Kenyan case for years, operating undercover and filming athletes, although he has been unable to nail any culprit so far. Doping threatens to disrupt the entire sports industry, and more recent casualties include American cycling sensation Louis Armstrong, who admitted to multiple accounts of cheating in the Oprah show.
