The East African Foundry Works Group is comprised of manufacturing companies servicing the cement, mining, transportation, construction, power, food processing, sugar, and brewing and bottling industries.
The group is currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the following positions:
Draftsman
(REF: EAFW/HRM/04-13/08EAF)
Key responsibilities:
Produce drawings from sketches, electronic images, and verbal and written descriptions
Ensuring that all drawings are correct and convey the necessary technical information

Key responsibilities:

Ensuring that all drawings are correct and convey the necessary technical information
Key requirements:
Degree or HND in drafting design, or equivalent
Mechanical engineering background
Minimum 2 years experience in the manufacturing sector
Design skills with metal castings, fabrication, and machining engineering drawings
Proficiency of 2D AutoCAD design and Microsoft Office
Quality Control Engineer
(REF: EAFW/HRM/04-13/09EAF)
Key responsibilities:
Quality checks on raw material, work-in-progress, and finished goods
Controlling packaging
Conducting quality control training when required
Ensuring efficiencies, and minimisation of rejections and repairs
Regulating wastage levels
Key requirements:
Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering
CAD knowledge
Minimum 5 years experience working in engineering field
Maintenance Engineer
(REF: EAFW/HRM/04-13/01CPS)
Key responsibilities:
Maintenance of paper packaging plant
General maintenance of tuber, bottomer and slitter machines
Generation of daily and weekly reports
Key requirements:
Degree or HND in Mechanical, Electrical, or Production Engineering
Minimum 5 years experience in paper and packaging industry
Machinery experience with instrumentation
Knowledge of electrons would be an added advantage
Machine Shop Supervisor
(REF: EAFW/HRM/04-13/10EAF)
Key responsibilities
Read technical drawings and carry out advanced operational planning
Ensuring efficiencies, and minimisation of rejections and repairs
Reporting on equipment, manpower, and utilisation
Key requirements:
HND in Engineering
Ability to understand technical drawings
Complete knowledge of machine tools and operations
Minimum 10 years experience working with various engineering facilities
Electrical/ Electronic Maintenance Engineer
(REF: EAFW/HRM/04-13/03CPS)
Key responsibilities:
Electrical and basic electronic maintenance of plant and equipment
Handling machinery breakdowns and electrical faults
Key requirements:
HND in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering
Minimum 5 years experience
Mechanic
(REF: EAFW/HRM/04-13/11EAF)
Key responsibilities:
Handling motor vehicle maintenance and breakdowns
Maintenance of plant equipment and generators
Key requirements:
Grade 1 Trade Test Certificate
Knowledge of diesel engines, petrol engines, and vehicle electrics
Minimum 5 years experience
