Foreign Exchange Dealer
REF: FED/T/A/2013
Purpose
To promote, control and co-ordinate the bank’s foreign currency spot and forward positions created by sales and purchases to/from branches and clients. Manage all foreign exchange risk positions for the bank.
The Job
Maximising Profitability
Providing excellent service to customers
Business Development and networking internally and externally
Building relationships with counterparty banks and brokers, both local and internationally
Keeping up to date with latest market developments and technology
Speculative trading and daily trading of customer-based forex positions within limits to maximize profits
Daily contact with the Bank’s Corporate clients in a very competitive market
The Person:
The ideal candidate must possess the following:
A Bachelors degree in Commerce, or Financial related degree.
Other sales related professional qualifications would be an added advantage.
Competencies
Mathematically inclined with a good economic background
Need to be up to date with current global developments including economic and political
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Computer literate
In-depth knowledge of dealing systems and functions
Ability to work under pressure
Knowledge of Foreign Exchange Treasury Products
Personal Attributes
Results oriented with excellent communication and social skills.
A forward planner with clear focus, mature, reliable, hard working and able to work without supervision.
Honest, reliable, outgoing and hardworking.
