2 Great Kenyan incubation centers to launch your business.

Kenyan entrepreneurs seeking to start a business usually have a very hard time. Capital for starting is in short supply as banks are unwilling to lend to an untried client that has not made a name in the business circles. Clients are unwilling to commit, and most certainly employees are unwilling to be employed by a company that has yet to show any future growth prospects.

What’s more, office space and internet are certainly out of reach from many budding entrepreneurs. To address this need, a few incubation centers have come up where one can incubate their ideas, be mentored and nurtured, sometimes be linked up with capital lenders and markets, and eventually see
their business grow after which they will be discharged from the incubation center, very much in the way that a chick is hatched form the egg. In case you are seeking an incubation center for your business, here are a few you can try out.

1. Kenyatta University incubation center.
The incubation center is sponsored by the Manu Chandaria foundation, the Youth fund, the National Science council for Science and Technology, and Orange as a partner that will provide free internet. The incubation center is currently accepting applications from aspiring entrepreneurs that have an innovative idea.
Only 25 percent of the spaces will be reserved for outsiders, while the rest of the spaces will be taken up by Kenyatta University students. Successful applicants will be mentored, coached, and provided with seed capital and helped get access to markets. The business will be nurtured and be graduated form the center in the next one to two years. All kinds of legitimate business proposals are accepted.

2. Ihub.
Ihub is a well known name within the IT industry. Here, angel investors, venture capitalists, and idea entrepreneurs meet to collaborate, and the best ideas are graduated to the next stage. Budding businessmen are linked with investors, and they also get free internet and some office space to carry out their ventures. However, unfortunately, most of the ideas supported are within the IT field.

My name is Joseph.
How can I get in touch with Ihub, Nailab or any other incubation centre that could be of help? I don't have their contacts and I need some urgent assistance.

Thanks.
