Marsabit County Public Service Board Secretary Job in Kenya
Pursuant to the provisions of Article 235 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and the County Government Act No 17 of 2012, Marsabit County Government; invites applications from competent, result oriented and self-motivated citizens for the position of Secretary to the Marsabit County Public Service Board.
Secretary of the County Public Service Board (1post)
Key Responsibilities:
The Secretary shall be the Chief Executive Officer and head of Secretariat.
Provide strategic leadership for effective delivery of the Board’s mandate as per the vision, mission and strategic plan.
Day to day administration of the secretariat and the welfare of staff. Oversee management of the finances, preparation and submission of the Boards Annual plans, programmes and Budgetary Estimates.
Make regular reports for submission to the County Assembly on the execution of the functions of the Board.
Execution of the decisions of the Board.
Ensure staff compliance with public service values, principles and ethical standards.
erform any other duties as assigned by the Board from time to time.
Requirements and Competencies
For appointment to this position, the person should:
Be a Kenyan citizen
Be in possession of a first degree from a recognized university (A Master’s Degree will be an added advantage);
Have a working experience of not less than five (5) years.
Satisfy the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.
Be a professional who demonstrates absence of breach of relevant professional code of conduct.
Understand the diversity of the County.
Possess knowledge of the organization and functions of Central and County Government, and must have served in a position of leadership in the public service or private sector.
Be a Certified Public Secretary of good professional standing.
Be a visionary and a strategic thinker.
Be a committed team player.
Remuneration:
Remuneration will be determined by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission.
