Senior Remote Sensing Technician

RCMRD wishes to fill the following position:

Senior Remote Sensing Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:
    Implementing project activities, including search, identification and acquisition of satellite data, image quality analysis and enhancement, image processing and interpretation and extraction of thematic information, conversation of thematic data to raster data and database management.
    Conducting Remote Sensing and GIS training including preparation of training materials.
    Participating in research activities.

Qualifications/Requirements:
    BSc degree in Geomatics, Physical Geography, Environmental Science or related fields.
    At least 3 years of experience in Geo-information applications.
    Must have very good knowledge of image processing and GIS software such as ERDAS, EDRISI, ENVI, GEOVIS, Globe Mapper and ESRI Softwares.
    Should have good skills in image transformation and multi-sensor image analysis.
    Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills in English is crucial.
