Job Title: Workshop Production Manager
Reporting To: Director & Managing Director
Location: Nairobi
Job Description
Job Summary:
Ensure various branding, fabrication, carpentry, installations and general workshop work activities
are cost effectively executed to the company and client requirements within the shortest turnaround time.
Overseeing the production process, drawing up production schedules and ensure it is followed with adjustments if needed;
Ensuring that the production is cost effective;
Reduce reworks and reprints. working out the human and material resources needed;
Making sure that products are produced on time and are of good quality.
Responsible for the selection and maintenance of equipments, machines and tools.
Liaise with the maintenance team on scheduled maintenance and repairs
Liaising with support departments/section e.g. Accounts, HR, Stores .
working with management to implement any required company's policies, procedures, rules Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed;
Supervising and motivating subordinates.
Control staff attendance, discipline and permission.Monitoring and reviewing subordinates’ performance.
Identifying training needs, raising it with senior management.
Train subordinates if required.
Promptly raise problems or issues encountered in the course of work to the senior management that can’t be handled properly.
Key Job Skills: Leadership, organisation, planning, analytical & problem solving
Minimum Education Requirement: KCSE ''O" level
Minimum Professional Qualification (if any): Diploma in Business Management with technical certification in carpentry /metal works
Minimum Years of Relevant Experience: Over 3 years industry related managerial experience especially in furniture making or metal fabrication/welding works.
