Primary Responsibilities:
Subject matter expert on competitive DB technologies and the client’s Information Management technologies.
Trusted technical advisor to our client’s sales team and customers for competitive DB migrations.
Solid understanding of the competitive landscape and capabilities of competing products.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with diverse sales and
technical sales teams across
The ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with senior management and technical staff at client site and our client
Translate technical features into business value.
Technical sales and/or services experience is highly desirable with solid understanding of sales cycle.
Ideal candidate will have project experience with multiple software architectures and development environments
Must have ability to estimate, plan and execute database projects (migration or white space)
Have a detailed understanding of various environments and technologies including n-tier application architectures, application servers, message, queuing, replication etc.
Experience:
5+ years’ experience in Relational Database installation, usage, and management working as a DBA or database application developer
Strong technical background. 6+ years technical experience with DB technologies and solution architectures – for B8 minimum of 8+ years expected
Skills and Certification:
Excellent communication and presentation skills given customer facing nature of job.
Second languages besides English are a plus.
Understanding of database architecture, application development process and technologies
PL/SQL, Java, C++, PHP, Ruby, Python, Perl
Individual should have DB2 or Oracle or MSSQL certifications.
Minimum two out of four: AIX, Linux, Windows, Solaris
Exposure to hardware, like our client’s servers and storage is a plus
Knowledge of additional application domains, specifically Banking,
Telco and Government is a plus
