Bayern Munich got the cup they had coveted all along; the
champions League trophy. They were denied trophy last year by the lucky Chelsea, but luck stood
this time, as they saw off Borrusia Dortmund 2-1, a score that should have been
of higher margins, had Bayern not wasted so many chances.
After giving Bayern the coveted treble- Champions League,
German Cup and the Bundesliga trophy, Pep
Guardiola, his successor, suddenly
has a lot of work to do. What if Arsene Wenger had retired in the 2003/04
season, he would have left a lasting legacy at Arsenal, but now he ahs to win
so many trophies before he retires, which unfortunately for Arsenal, is always
next season.
