FMCG Sales Vacancies Mombasa Kenya

Our Client is in manufacturer, supplier and distributor of a wide range of quality products in the FMCG space ranging from cotton wool, tissue paper and feminine hygiene categories in East Africa for over 50 years and is the leading manufacturer of cotton wool in East and Central Africa.

Formed in 1954, the company has grown into an organization with operations in Nairobi and Mombasa, running several manufacturing and production lines, and employing over 400 staff across East Africa

Job Purpose
Reporting to the Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for growing sales volume within your

territory and ensuring product availability at all times in distributor outlets.

Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:
•    Assist distributors Managing stocks and ensuring that products are consistently available within the region
•    Develop an efficient distribution network to ensure achievement of the territory sales volumes.
•    Ensure product visibility in all distributor outlets, create product awareness in the assigned region
•    Train and coach merchandisers and distributer sales representatives in the designated region.
•    Ensure proper invoicing and timely deliveries; manage customer enquiries, debts and credit days.
•    Monitor sales in the market and undertake market analysis to ensure targets and objectives are met
•    Grow the company’s’ retail trade in existing and into a new geographical regions within assigned territory
•    Conduct regular field visits to distributers to ensure standards are maintained across merchandising, sales representation and other product performance measures
•    Provide accurate demand forecasts for their respective areas/customers

Minimum Qualifications and experience
•    Degree in business management or equivalent, a diploma in sales/ marketing
•    Minimum 3 years’ sales experience in retail sales preferably in a FMCG environment.
•    Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and problem-solving skills
•    Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills including Customer service skills.
•    Strong leadership and staff management skills.
•    Strong commercial awareness and Computer literacy.
•    A confident and determined approach and ability and desire to sell.
•    A high degree of self-motivation and drive; with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
•    The capacity to flourish in a competitive environment
•    Valid Driver’s License
