Key Account Manager 

Reporting to: National Sales Manager

We are seeking to recruit for our client a position based in Nairobi.

Key responsibilities

    Identify new business while continuing to develop greater levels of business with existing clients through consistent client relationship management and customer service.
    Motivating /managing and guiding the sales to achieve sales and margin targets.
    Effective marketing and brand positioning of the company

Monitor sales and prepare sale reports for presentation and evaluation of the same with the directors.
    Setting annual targets, conducting team performance appraisal/competency assessment and development planning.
    Plan measure and manage the market share
    Gather competitor’s information so as to stay ahead of competition
    Ensure sales targets are set and achieved within a given time frame.

Other functions:
    Sales management
    Debtors management
    Cost Control
    Training and Development
    Team development

Education / Qualifications
    Bachelor’s degree in sales/marketing, MBA would be an added advantage
    Professional sales/ marketing qualification e.g. CIM
    Computer applications training
    Self driven personality with demonstrated ability to work with minimum supervision.

Skills and experience required

    At least 5 years’ experience in a similar position
    Past experience dealing with multiple products
    FMCG experience is highly desirable
    Training
