Title: System Analyst II
Division: ICT
Duty Station: Nairobi

Job Purpose Statement (Brief Summary)

The holder of the position reports to the Head of ICT and shall be responsible for designing and implementing innovative solutions that exceeds the business requirements of the Company. The
position will ensure that all Application Systems are running at optimal levels and up for 99.9% all the time. 

The position shall make recommendations on the various improvements required to support the Company's System growth.

Key Responsibilities   
1.    Design and Implement innovative Application Solutions for the Company.
2.    Install and appropriately configure Application Systems for the Company.
3.    Ensure that all the Application Systems of the Company are upto date with all the critical releases and versions and maintain appropriate documentations.
4.    Plan and Schedule Maintenance and Tuning of the Application Systems for the Company, ensuring their optimal use by the users and stakeholders alike.
5.    Design and Analyze Test criteria for all Application Systems in line with the vendor specifications and User's Requirement Statements.
6.    Provide effective User Support for the Company's Application Systems.
7.    Manage Application Level Access in line with the Company Standards and provide appropriate control reports.
8.    Support the standardization of Platforms for Application Systems to be in use within the Company.
9.    Design and Develop appropriate Business Reports in line with the Business Requirements.
10.    Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information in any form, being processed, stored or accessed within the network.

Liaison With Other Departments

Liaising with all departments to provide total ICT solutions based on user needs.

Customer Service
Timely response in resolving all planned and unplanned Database problems.
Provide timely and accurate Management Information as agreed or on request
Perform ICT role in line with the Job Description and in line with the Human Resource’s code of conduct.

Staff Supervision and Administrative Functions

Training new staff on ICT protocols company ICT policies to ensure effective client service.
Read, understand and apply all the ICT and other Policies and Procedures.

Skills and Competencies:
•    First degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Technology or any other related field.
•    At least 3 years experience in active programming, especially in Oracle Database Management on Linux and Windows platforms,
•    Adequate knowledge in running Applications in Multi-Vendor Virtualised environment.
•    Certifications in Oracle DBA, MCSD
•    Excellent inter personal skills
•    Good communication and listening skills
